Kampong Khlean Tour

Our excursion to the village on stilts of Kampong Khleang begins at 8 am with the provision of transport to the hotel. Depending on the number of people it will be a sedan or minivan: up to 3 persons - sedan, over three - minivan. The whole tour is accompanied by a professional licensed English-speaking guide. During the first hour we get to the village. We have to overcome more than 50 km from Siem Reap to come to the village of Kampong Khleang. It takes about 1 hour. By the way, Kampong Khleang is the largest village on stilts in Cambodia and it is still not as popular among tourists as the villages on stilts nearest to Siem Reap. More than 10,000 people live in it.

Upon arrival at the village, we transfer to the boat. This can be a small private boat, up to four persons, or a large boat, if there are many tourists in the group (more than 5).

A boat trip around the village, with access to the big water on Lake Tonle Sap will leave a lot of impressions. You will see ordinary life of the inhabitants and fishermen of the village, interesting architecture. If you want you can buy some fish, souvenirs. Accompanied by a guide, you can visit a local school, a market, a temple. At about 1 - 2 PM. there will be lunch (payment separately, according to your desire) in one of the local restaurants.

Upon completing the excursion by boat, we return to the village back to our ground transport and then go to your hotel or to the city center at your request. The duration of the entire tour is about 8 hours. This is one of the most exotic travels in Cambodia.

Additional options

Nearby there is a small group of temples called Roluos Group. Three temples Bakong, Lo Lei, Preah Ko are the oldest temples dating from the 9th century. You can combine a visit to the village on stilts and temples.
